A Unexpected Visit
Trav came to visit me this weekend at UK. Nothing unusual about that. Happens every time I’m on staff, right? Well, this weekend we had both geared ourselves up to spend the weekend apart as I studied for a test and Trav wrote a paper. Much to my surprise and delite, Trav decided that he’d come see me Saturday evening. Every second I spend with Trav is unforgettable, but something about the unexpectedness of his visit made this visit the best yet. Sure, it was short because he came yesterday evening and had to leave today. Sure, it was, to say the least, weird, because he stayed in my room to write his paper and we were so close, yet so far away from each other while I was working. Sure, it was too hot to cuddle, but isn’t it always? I live in Jewell Hall. But with all of these things considered, I wouldn’t change this weekend for anything in the world.

Coming Home
I’m coming home today and I can not wait. After days of agonizing (Did I spell that right? Who knows?) over whether or not to skip, I have talked myself into attending my economics class tomorrow. The main reason for doing so is so that on Nov. 11 (2 weeks from now) I won’t feel so bad when I miss econ to spend the entire day with my baby!!! This week has been a whole lot less stressful, with midterms being over and all. My next task is to write an essay for my social work application, due Tuesday!

Insomnia
I hate it when I can’t sleep. I’ve never been much of an insomniac, seeing as how I’m usually the first person in the bed. Tonight, though, my brain won’t shut up. I’m downloading Yellow Dog Linux ISOs from here at the Sheraton in Lexington, and all I can think about is whether or not it will work on the little G3 iBook. I sure hope so, considering I paid $10 for the rights to use this connection. At least it’s relatively fast. Lo and behold, typing this post has actually called forth the sandman. Just as I planned… :)

Tying the Knot
The wedding is FINALLY starting to come together. It’s not all just a bunch of ideas any more. Trav and I have agreed on things we want and don’t want and are starting to finalize plans to order things. I’ve ordered my dress, and purchased my tiara. Trav and I saw the church for the first time this weekend and it’s absolutely beautiful. I’ve done nothing but look at wedding stuff on the internet all day…there are so many beautiful things it’s hard to decide on what will be the final product. After ordering my dress and seeing the church, I realized that the next 7 months will fly by, as have the last 5, and I’ve started to get nervous, yet very excited about our big day!! All the stress of planning a wedding will be well worth it though, because after it’s all said and done I get to spend the rest of my life with the one I’ve always prayed for. And for that end result, I’d do anything.
