On Saturday February 26, 2000, the Leslie County Bass Anglers Club held their first buddy tournament of the year at Cherokee Lake in Tennessee. There were 27 anglers who competed for $685.00 worth of prize money. There were four boats that weighed in fish. First place and Big Fish prize money went to Bart Hardy and Denton Asher with a total weight of 6.56 pounds. Their Big Fish was a 2.55 pound small mouth. Second place went to Randy Williams and Todd Horton with 1.64 pounds. Third place went to David Brock and Doug Napier with 1.11 pounds. The next club tournament is scheduled for March 18 at Laurel Lake out of Grove Marina from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Anyone interested in joining the Leslie County Bass Anglers can call 374-4144, 279-4166, or 672-8266 for membership information.
